..Maitetxu, Orreaga and Muskilda, located in a lovely and typical village in the Pyrenees, Basque Country, Navarre 30 km from Pamplona, on the Camino de Santiago, a few minutes of the Shrine of Roncesvalles, where it begins "El Camino " in Navarra, 20 minutes from the Jungle Irati and numerous activities in order to make your stay as hiking, horseback riding, mountain bike trails.

In our cottages in Navarra find all amenities, so you feel like your own home. The truth is that we have worked hard to provide a quality service without losing, of course, the rural touch.

Rural tourism in the Pyrenees Navarre, Basque Country

The Casamaitetxu rural tourist accommodations are 3 reformed following the architectural structure of the area pirineo Navarro, with oak ceilings and stone walls. The houses are located in the first stage of the road to Santiago in northern Navarra in the village of Biskarret / Guerendiain (more about Biskarret) . The village of the mountains, typical of the Pyrenees has an enviable environment surrounded by forests of beech, with footpaths, ancient paths and roads to enjoy a quiet rural tourism in the countryside.

Some rural houses

Biskarret is very close to the jungle of Irati (more about Irati) famous for its forests of beech and spruce, one of the largest virgin forests in Europe. Besides this located in the Camino de Santiago, had a hospital for pilgrims and was the main staging point before building Roncesvalles. This is the first stage of the Way in Spain.
Another historical site is Roncesvalles (more about Roncesvalles), famous for the battle with Charlemagne that gave its name to the "chanson of Roland". The villages of Burguete, Garralda and other nearby worth visiting.

The lodgings:

House and House Maitetxu Orreaga lodgings are two complete and separated from each other, located in the old roughing in the same house, a house typical of Navarre pirineo the year 1851, with a balcony with oak tables and chairs.
House Maitetxu has 5 double bedrooms, kitchen, living / dining room and two large balconies.
House Orreaga has 2 double rooms complete with living room.
These houses can be rented together for large groups.

ouse Muskilda is in the same village and rural housing is an independent, also of wood and stone, original year 1830. It's a big house with 3 floors and capacity for 16 people. It has a large living room with stone fireplace and ample capacity to eat 16 people, plus sofas, television and internet access. The rooms in the House Muskilda in the top floors have ceilings attic oak.
